What is a verified badge?
A verified badge is Coverstar's way of confirming that an account belongs to the person or brand it represents. When you see the blue checkmark next to a username, you can be confident you're following the real creator, not a fan account or impersonator.
Verified badges are applied by Coverstar only and will always appear in the same place: next to the username in search results and on the profile. If an account displays a badge anywhere else, like in the bio or profile image, it isn't verified.
How accounts get verified
We verify accounts in two ways.
1. Rising Coverstar talent
When a Coverstar creator builds a genuinely engaged following, their account may be eligible for verification. There's no follower threshold. What we look at is authenticity, impact, and real connection with an audience.
A few things worth knowing: spamming comments or mass-following other accounts won't speed up the process. The best path to verification is creating content your audience actually loves.
2. Creators joining from other platforms
When well-known creators from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or similar platforms join Coverstar, we verify their accounts so fans can find and follow the real them.
If you have an established presence on another platform and would like to be verified on Coverstar, email verified@coverstar.app with:
- Links to your YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, or other profiles
- Your Coverstar username
Does verification cost anything?
No. Verification on Coverstar is always free. Any person or service claiming to sell Coverstar verification has no affiliation with us.
Can verification be removed?
Yes. We reserve the right to remove a verified badge at any time. Common reasons include:
- The account changed ownership, making the original verification inaccurate
- The username changed, requiring a new application
- The account repeatedly or seriously violated our Community Guidelines or Terms of Service
Staying safe
We never reach out to users to offer verification. If someone contacts you through comments, DMs, or any other channel claiming they can get you verified or help you get famous on Coverstar, that person is not affiliated with us.
Do not respond. Talk to a trusted adult, and report it in-app or to safety@coverstar.app. Your reports help us protect other users from the same thing.
